Reka Szent-Ivanyi was born in Budapest, Hungary. She studied photography and earned her Master of Arts degree from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. 

Since graduation, she has been actively engaged in independent photographic projects and presenting in various solo and group exhibitions. 

She now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
